MBA(Tech) :: A Five-year Full Time Integrated Programme

Vision & Objectives

The Vision of NMIMS is to be a world-class center of excellence in management learning and innovation driven by social sensitivity and state of the art technology. To better understand the Industry requirements, we had conducted an in depth study and had interactions with a cross section of industry leaders. These indicated that engineers are technocrats, but need management inputs in different functional areas in order to be really effective. By integrating engineering and management in one single capsule to address a major industry requirement programme, this programme was launched by NMIMS in the year 2004, which was the first if it's kind in the country.

The curriculum covers engineering courses in selected disiplines and the management courses relevant to that technology area. It is an integration of technology and management with the higher proportions of technological inputs in the initial stages and moving towards "technology management" in the later stages of the course.

With the phenomenal growth in IT and Telecom sectors all over the world, there are excellent oppurtunities in IT, Electronics, Computer & Telecom industries especially for those who undergo relevant education and training through well designed engineering programme.

NMIMS (University), a professionally managed, reputed institute having the support of SVKM and its well known D.J.Sanghvi College of Engineering has launched a need based and the most relevant programmes in engineering at B.Tech,M.Tech and PhD level. The programmes aim at developing engineers with sound knowledge and skills, with ability to solve problems, with creativity and innovations, who can work in a team of design, development, operations and application of products and services.

Dr. D.J.Shah, the founder principal of D.J.Sanghvi College of Engineering having vast experience of Institutional Management is appointed as Dean, Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering at NMIMS and is assigned the task of Development of Programmes, Faculty and Infrastructure with the support of teams of Academicians, Industry Experts and Management group. The Programmes have commenced from the academic year 2006-2007.
